Did you know that fitting a breastfeeding bra needs a different set of criteria from fitting a normal bra?
*Your ribcage will expand and then go back to normal proportions a few weeks after the birth
*Your breasts will round out with milk and increase in size
*Wearing the wrong bra can cause blockages of your milk ducts
*Your breasts will need extra support
*Comfort and a bra that is easy to use will be a high priority for you
*A breastfeeding bra should be comfortable for the majority of your feeding time. Occasionally engorgement may make your new bra tight, so ensure you check and adjust the bra each time you feed.9>
When to buy a feeding bra?
The ideal time to be fitted for a breastfeeding bra is at 36 weeks. By this time your ribcage will have expanded by 1"-2" / 1cm-5cm.
NCT Bras are fitted by appointment by a trained volunteer - we have a variety of bra's in different sizes for your to try on. Please contact your Wantage based NCT Bra Agent on 0844 243 6313 Option 5.

Need Help with your baby or child?
NEW ! NCT service Provided
Mums 4 Mums
Expecting a baby ? Think ahead ! Just had a baby? You might want help?
Often family live far away and no direct help is available especially for the first 6 weeks when you need it. Someone like your mother, mother in law, sister, another family member or friend might come and help you for the first few days. Your partner might have taken paternity leave ... but what happens once the help is gone and you are alone with 1 or more children.....
Mums 4 Mums could help you with the following:
* If you have had a difficult night and you fancy a cup of tea but you are out of milk and still in your dressing gown we can help you with the essential shopping (milk, lunch, nappies, cotton wool, etc.)
* Had a c-section and are not allowed to lift or drive
* Catch up on an hours' sleep or recharge your batteries (have a bath or shower) while an NCT Member takes your baby for a walk or plays with the baby in your house
* Just want to have a reassuring chat or help with preparing a quick bite to eat because you haven't managed to put the baby down
* Feeling poorly due to a cold, food poisoning, flu or other
* You want to go to the hairdresser, have a leg wax or other
* There are too many reasons to sum up
If you recognise any of the above points - than get in touch with us now !
